Roger Basu is CTO and Co-Founder of Coreshell Technologies, a company focused on introducing novel electrode coatings into Lithium-Ion batteries in order to mitigate capacity fade during cycling and enhance energy density. Roger was previously a senior device engineer at Heliotrope Technologies, where he developed next-generation Lithium-Ion electrochromics. Prior to that, he was a research scientist at Solexant Corp., where he was part of a small team that achieved world record efficiencies for substrate CdTe and CZTS solar cells. He holds B.S. degrees in Chemistry and Materials Science, as well as an M.S. in Materials Science, all from UC-Berkeley. He has been deeply involved in clean energy research since his earliest days as an undergraduate, and is passionate about doing whatever it takes to "push Lithium-Ion past the tipping point" and usher in a worldwide shift to renewable sources of energy."
