Following a lifelong passion to power cars with solar energy, Pete has devoted the past 15 years to advanced materials development for breakthrough energy storage technologies. He co-founded Sepion Technologies in 2015 to commercialize must-have membrane components that boost the energy density, safety, and lifetime of Li-batteries. His background in self-assembly and synthetic chemistry provides a unique vantage point to tackle long-standing battery problems with innovative materials. Previously, Pete was an Alexander von Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Würzburg in Germany, and he holds a Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry from the University of British Columbia and a B.Sc. in chemistry from Idaho State University.
