Rob Morgan, CEO Energy Storage, GE Power

Mr. Robert Morgan, also known as Rob, has been Chief Executive Officer of Energy Storage Unit at GE Energy since May 2018. He is Chief Executive Officer of Energy Storage Unit at GE Power & Water. He has been Chief Strategy Officer of Renewable Energy Systems Americas, Inc. since 2014 and serves as its Executive Vice President of Business Development. Mr. Morgan served as Chief Business Development Officer of Renewable Energy Systems Americas, Inc. since 2014. Mr. Morgan served as Chief Development Officer of Renewable Energy Systems Americas, Inc. since 2013. Mr. Morgan co-founded Agile Energy, Inc., in 2004 and served as its President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Morgan served as Chief Development Officer and Executive Vice President of AREVA Solar, Inc. from December 2006 to January 2009. Mr. Morgan oversaw power project strategy, siting, permitting and delivery. Mr. Morgan joined Ausra from Agile Energy, Inc., where he was Co-Founder and Managing Member, assisting a variety of clients in the commercial aspects of renewable and fossil-fired project development. In May 2003, Mr. Morgan ended his 14 year career with The AES Corporation as Country Manager for El Salvador, responsible for AES' $500 million investment in four electricity distribution companies in the country. Mr. Morgan joined AES Corporation in 1989, beginning his career in corporate planning. Mr. Morgan spent two years in AES New Energy, leading the Western Region and the Information Services group from 2000 to 2001. Prior to Agile he worked for 14 years at The AES Corp. Since 2002, he served as Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of AES Gener (Chile) - a $1 billion publicly traded electricity generating business with assets in Chile, Argentina, Colombia and the Dominican Republic. Mr. Morgan led several international power business units, developed numerous large greenfield power generation projects and participated in several mergers and acquisitions. He serves as a Director of Agile Energy, Inc. He served as a Director of American Council on Renewable Energy(ACORE). He served as a Director of AES Gener S.A. since 2002. He holds a BA in Economics and received an MS in Engineering Economic Systems from Stanford University in 1988.
