Michael Slater, R&D Manager, Farasis Energy

Dr. Michael Slater is the R&D Manager at Farasis Energy where he leads the development of advanced lithium-ion chemistries and recycling technology. Prior to joining Farasis, Dr. Slater performed post-doctoral research at Argonne National Laboratory on lithium- and sodium-ion materials and systems for electrochemical energy storage. Dr. Slater holds a PhD in Chemistry from UC Berkeley and bachelor’s degrees in chemistry and mathematics from UC Santa Cruz. He has performed materials chemistry research for device applications across multiple technologies with an overarching approach to science that addresses complexity with systems level thinking.
